Angry Ok all of the BS aside!

Do any of you 4.7 owners notice ANY real seat of the pants difference aside from the shifting while using the 3865 on any of the settings. I bought one last week and started out with the 87 tune.... (had half tank of 87) I noticed the shifting was a little quicker but thats it... Absolutely no more get up and go from the seat of my pants... Then late last week I filled up with 91 and drove it a while (to get 91 into the plumbing) loaded the 91 tune upped my rev limiter to 6000 changed 1-2 WOT shift to 5600 changed 2-3 WOT to 5400 set speed limiter to 140 and tried it out.... From dead stand still and whacking it to the floor resulted in absolutely NO tire spin on wet tar even.... Something doesnt seem quite right with that. With NO tune it will atleast break loose on wet tar. I do have a posi rear but hell I would think it should spin the stock tires (whatever comes on the 20's) with out even working. I should mention that this is a 2wd QC with 3.92 gears. What is going on with this thing.

Nope I don't think the 91 tune is any better than the 87 tune. I do not notice any real "seat of the pants" gains. Most of it is noticed above 3000 rpms. All I get out of the tires is a little chirp when I floor it. Now if its wet it will spin all day.

I must say I did expect more from the tuner. I am going to try the Tow tune. It adds more low end power for when you are towing so that should redirect some power to below 3000 rmp.... Hopefully

BTW guys, you know there is a learning curve and you wont notice absolute gains until after you have driven with said tune for awhile... just and FYI.

donjohn, I'll have one for sale next week if you're interested unless you want to drop $350 on a new one. Let me know.

It was officially spring last saturday, so I'm waiting between now and summer for the release since I heard a possible spring release was imminent

I'm going to be buying a FP on payday but I've got a quick question. The truck for now is in GTMO and our speed limit is between 25-35 mph although I usually do 30-45 (30 main road, 45 desolate roads) what would be the best rpm shift point setting to see the most at these speeds. Going faster isn't an option or the MAs will be on my *** left and right.

There is a learning curve for computers (bits and bytes)?

I've been running the 91 Performance tune for 10 days now. I will admit I am not that impressed with the overall results; I thought the power gains would cover a broader spectrum. Instead, it only appears to demonstrate its use at full throttle (perhaps that's where it matters most anyways..). I was kind of hoping it was going to add better throttle response and better downshifting, but the truck appears to still have its typical bog sessions and its slow reaction to downshift when going up hills or when trying to pass somebody. Any input on my observation? Am I just being stubborn and expecting too much or what?
