I have to give Tom credit for coming on here and keeping us updated. There aren't many other companies with executives coming on the forums to discuss their product. At the same time, still looks like we have no set date of release for any options and got the same, coming soon keep waiting response.

Ok, now that I have read this whole thread and feel like I am nearly an expert on this topic due to the vast amount of information all you guys have provided, I just have but one question. Other than the warranty that comes with the Cortex model is there any other reason to purchase this model over the 3865 or 3815 models?

Thanks!

Craig

fair enough, but this isn't just an SC problem. Diablo got caught off guard when the 3185 was released and took time to catch up, now SC is the one catching up.

My take on the part throttle shift points is that SC already does it. They don't let you change the settings yourself, but seriously, how much would you change them from what their tune sets them at? They may not have the capability of giving everyone exactly what they want, but they are satisfying most.

And on torque management, I cant stand TM as much as anyone else (THE reason I got a programmer), but what they already have out is enough to satisfy me. They are at a highly tuned level, and much more might lead to damage, so how much higher would you really tune it?

That being said, I will definitely update and upload when they release the features, but it's not going to increase my satisfaction all that much.

I don't see all aspects of this, but seems to me their best business move would be to figure out how to suport custom tunes on a 3815/3865...

I think someone is going to have to update their tuner and then try programming their truck. Anyone want to volunteer?

Default On the way

Just ordered my SC3865. It is shipping today. From the posts, it looks like I should not try updating it first. I want to test this puppy out as soon as I get it!
