Back to the data logging stuff now, my goal at this point is to get it down into the sub 4 sec for 0-60's and I know it is possible with a RCSB too. Just gotta figure out how much my cam will take off with the combination of mods I have. The cam alone will do quite a bit but the other supporting mods should drop it down to the 4.9x I would think

Well in theory if you are making too much power on launch and spinning hard, moving the cam power band upward would in fact make the truck quicker. This would allow a harder launch and then more power available after hooking up. So designing the cam would entail determining maxiumum lift and then shifting overlap/duration to slide the torque up and/or down to where it is most benefical for our traction abilities. Anyone know who can grind custom cam shafts. This could be fun...

Pretty sure Stu, Marty or Comp will custom grind a cam for you.

It is nice to see a performance based thread on here, they are too few and far between for my liking. So when I good one comes around, it gets stuck!

Well my street truck won't see those times. But i did go out to make a couple runs. I found with the OD off and stuck in 2nd gear with a smooth roll on the gas I can go quicker. First run 6.54, 2nd run 6.30 and finally a 6.25. I took all the junk out of the back except my ballast box (100lbs). No more rear end/converter parts and lawn mower. And you thought she was just a cruiser lol. This basically tells me I need to do something for traction to launch harder. I'm happy with this has I see I can go a lot quicker without working on the motor, The traction bars prevent axle hop so I just need less air pressure to begin with, maybe more ballst or sticky tires. I am sure it'll go into 5's without too much work.
