Well good luck with it. I looked at an 09, but didn't seriously consider it because I only want a cab and a half with the suicide style doors like my 2nd gen. If they would have offered that on the 09's, I might have bought one. They are easily the best looking truck on the road.

I run a small business as well. Generally try to do everything I can to keep my clients happy, but there are times where I do have to pick and choose who to keep happy. (this is where my previous comments about percent of owners with this issue came into play) With my small business, 90% of my complaints stem from scheduling conflicts. We can't be in two places at once and it doesn't happen enough to spend another 100k a year for 3rd employee. When this happens, I always choose to give the best customer service to the larger client. Last time this happened, the difference between the two parties was nearly 90k a year, and you can't let the larger one get away.

In your case, I can see the same thing happening. Chrysler is a mess right now, and on the verge of bankruptcy. This probably is not going to get serious attention from a company that really doesn't have a stellar track record of customer service in the first place. Since they are struggling with the finances, I would guess they wouldn't choose to dump a lot of money into a seat design sold on less then 10% of their vehicles?

Abnormal seat cover wear in the 2009 Dodge Ram with heated and cooled seat option. Abnormal wear issues in this thread.

Please post pictures and/or description if you are having streching wrinkling or anything else happening to your seat cover in your 2009 Dodge Ram.
I write Chrylser for my files. Chrysler; by themselves; will not address this problem. We will see if Johnson Controls who manufactured the seat cover steps up.
There are links to NHTSA, Consumer Reports, J.D Power and others in this thread. NHTSA and others can get this abnormal seat wear issue resolved.

Blue, that is bad, worse than what I was thinking. As you know I traded my 09 in on one with the ram box. However, my seats still looked pristine and tight as the day I picked it up. 5100 miles when I gave the truck back to them. I went with cloth this time and have to say the only thing I miss about the leather seats is the power adjustments on the passenger side. The cloth seats don't even get lumber adjustment on the passenger side which is strange since my 99 QC even has power lumber on both front seats even though the drivers side was power adjustment. Anyway, I see now why you're so upset, I'd have been pissed as well. I hope they can get this situation resolved to your satisfaction. Jeff.

Minarets, have responded. Sorry for the delay but due to my advanced age and general run down condition I wasn't even looking to see if I had any messages. Next time try a hammer! Jeff.

I have a little over 2,000 miles on my truck. My seat doesn't seem to be warping or stretching bad. Just a little bit, but nothing like the pictures. I'm happy with the perforated seats. Very comfy and seem strong.

I just spent the last while reading this post.
I only have about 800 km (500 mi) and I see wrinkling in the corner and I can just "feel" that my "wave" troubles are just around the corner. It seems to me that it is what's under the perforated leather that is causing the problem. I never noticed before how the seats feel (and sound) like they have a nylon tarp under them.
The irony for many of us is that the cooled option (the only reason to perforate a seat) is probably something we would easily forgo. Having a leather seat for me is key though, with two little (sometimes messy) girls. Leather cleans up much nicer than cloth. My last truck had heated seats, no perforations.

No real news about the seat covers. Lots of promises..... deceit and lies.

There is a white plastic type preforated material under the seat.
I assume this is the heating pad. It crinkles like paper when touched.

My truck has 2036 miles now and the seat cover is as bad as the previous picture. This is the QC special seat cover that I was told was a whole new design....until it arrived.

Time to take it to the dealer again.
Its a shame. I hate I bought this truck because of this seat cover and the fact everyone has lied to me.
Chrysler's eternal answer is to replace it with the same sorry seat cover over and over. At this rate it means a rather long trip to the dealer every month.

Things like this take a while. Its not a safety issue.
Even with a viable auto company. Right now its a waste of time to complain to Chrysler...though I still do at least once a week.
It is never uncomforatble, just ugly, worn and old looking. Lowers the value of my truck....more.

Johnson Controls informed me I had a warranty through Chrylser.
No response yet from my certified letter to JC written with and sent by my attorney. There respose was unacceptable. I do not take well to being blown off. I do have the signed receipt from Johnson Controls.

I now have had 2 new seat covers installed, receipts, write ups and mutiple letters in a dedicated file. My attorney has copies of everything.
You know what I could do now....if they survive.
