3rd times the charm--could you file for lemon law for this?--I bet if you did that they would have a proper fix in a hurry.

Yep, non conformity and undu.....pain in the ***.
Put in 3 rental cars, 11 days it has been in the shop.
Seat is not the only problem it has had. Just the one problem they can't or will not fix permanently.

Two letters of non conformity have already been sent to Chrysler and Cerberus capital management. One to Johnson Controls noting two abnormal failures of their product.
Signed received.

Right now its not so amazing, but a few months ago I would have thought they would have responded appropriatly. Chrylers response was an elaborate deciet.

A final letter of non conformity and other legal jargon is drafted.
My attorney will file it if I ask her.

Chrylser and Cerberus capital management are very aware I am doing this. Obviously Cerebus does not have a thing to do with this but they are vested and I and my attorney felt they should be made aware of a potential loss....even if it is a small loss. Customer satisfaction issues are paramount with Cerberus

I bought this truck beacuse I liked it...various reasons. I simply want Chrysler to fix the seat cover problem, both front seats.
I do not want to persue a hurting company legally....but I will.

I know you've probably mentioned this before, but I read the original thread weeks ago so it's slipped my mind...

At this point, what are you hoping for? I still don't think you're going to get anywhere with this, but hoping you do because Chrysler has had a miserable history of screwing people over, and hope someone can help force them to turn it around.

I hope for a new design seat cover for everyone having this problem. That seems obvious.

Cerberus bought Chrysler in hopes it could turn it around from the image you mention.

I am sharing my efforts to make that happen here.

What I WILL get; if I so desire; is my money back!!

The only problem I see is Chrysler has its own lawyers and can drag it out in hopes you would run out of money for your lawyer.

I figured the seat design was obviously what you would go for initially, just curious if after your struggles you had changed your mind and were fed up.

I know my previous comments may seem negative, just think you are fighting a fight that's going to be impossible to win right now. I hope you do succeed, and can admit I've been angry with large corporations before but eventually called off the attorneys because it was obvious my one voice wouldn't do squat. I think it's horrible for persons to just accept an inferior product, but that being said, just ordered a power programmer to retune my 2nd gen Ram that was detuned at the factory to cover a factory defect.

Wish we (country) had a better way to hold corporations responsible then lawyers, who tend to be self serving.

I have 30000 miles on my truck and am currently having the drivers side seat replaced for the 3rd time. If yours is bad take it and get a new one. They don't like to replace it but they should at least figure out what is causing it and fix it.

Hello everyone,

It bothers me that everyone with the heated/cooled seats is having this problem. Me and my wife ordered our first pick-up two weeks ago from our local Dodge retailer. After sampling all the local flavours (GM, Ford, Toyota, Nissan), we dedcided or actually she decided that she preffered the Ram the best. Although i propably would of went with the Titan, she she insisted. We ordered the new Laramie Quad Cab 4x4 with the bucket seats set-up. I am really considering in cancelling my order or at least modifying it without the heated/cooled seat option as i am petrified dealing with this leather issue. This has to be extremely frustrating for everyone and especially if there is no long term solution being offered by Chrysler. i just don't think people who buy 40K trucks or anyone for that matter deserve this headache.

On top of waiting 'till August or September for the truck, I'm not sure i want to committ to a company who doesn't look after it's customers. All that rave and hype about quality and durabilitry testing.........blah......blahhh.blahhhhhhh....at the end it's always the same BS!

Chrysler,

If you're reading this.......I think you're going to loose out on a sale! It's too bad cause you actually created a very nice and usefull product that appeals to almost everyone!

Has anyone replaced there seats lately or have you all gave up? My seats got replaced today and by the time I made it home the drivers seat had already began to loosen.

I plan to take mine in again in July or so.
Needs replacing again NOW but the truck and I are busy.

Each time Dodge has replaced mine its been a rental car and a day without my truck.
Thankfully my dealer has survived thus far.

Some folks are not having problems while others are having problems.
We dicussed this earlier.
Basically if your rear end spreads across the entire seat you ditribute the load evenly not wearing the center ventilated preforated material.
If you have thin bunns like me you wear out the center material fast.
Not being smart or funny. Just physics
Distort it permenatly in just a few hours.
The preforated seat cover is a weak material, bad design. Its just a matter of time before it fails for everyone that has it.
.

Its more than a little annoying. All I or anyone can do right now is wait. Just keep replaing the seat cover as it fails. Hope Chrysler/Fiat emerges a better company for consumers.

For me and I suspect others having this problem this is by far the most negative aspect of this truck. I likely will never buy another Chrysler product because of this long term aggravation.

Do not like driving truck because of the seat. Know each time I sit down I am wearing the seat out and will have to waste my time getting it fixed AGAIN with another seat cover that is going to fail..again.
Usually I am really pleased when I sit down in my NEW car or truck.
This truck changed that. Just pissed when I look at the seat then get in.
Then I can't spin its tires to vent my frustrations.

if you feel like writing Chrysler expressing your satisfaction or dissatifaction.
