Has anybody that has had the flash noticed a increase in fuel mileage?

I haven't done a actual logged average on it yet, but according to the evic I've picked up a good 2 to 4 MPG around town.
Before the flash was done I would struggle to get 10 to 11 MPG around town. It was more like 9 to 10 at best. Now after the flash the EVIC is indicating 14 to 15 MPG. When I left this morning the EVIC was indicating 55 miles to empty. As I drove on the freeway for about 5 miles it said 56 miles to empty. After I drove it around on the surface streets for awhile it indicated 55 to empty again when I fueled.

I'm seeing a little better mpg. I don't attribute it to the evic flash. It getting warmer, therefore truck warms up faster.

Thought I was a lead foot, I was getting avg 14 city/hwy mix use, and I jump around with it, after the flash I have been watching the light so now at 16.

why not have dealer check it out, find out what the actual revs should be. I was thinking you thought they were too highLOL....We don't get any hestitation, skips, slips, just an all round great riding and running truck. Not bad for a early build first year build. I think my truck went thru the mill at the factory, it had to had been one that went for inspection or something it is just too quiet. If I could change anything I would dump the chrome clads...maybe use them in the winter , maybe find some nice 17 or 18 inch wheels and nice tires so if I choose to pull a trailer I get the extra few thousand pounds. Anyone recommend and 18 inch rims.

Unless they come up with a NEW Flash update the idle is considered NORMAL.The bump stop is not often. It depends on how hard/fast you brake and from what speed. With Ac on it idles at 650 which I like. The 500 also allows rolling backwards on inclines when foot removed from brake. The 650 does not.The 650 just plain feels better then that low 500.I posted this a while back on another forum and got a fair amount of replys that theirs were the same at 500 rpm also. I'd be a bit nervous about using a SuperChips. If its discovered by dealer tech while doing something it could cause a big warranty issue.Manufactures don't take kindly to aftermarket downloads.

Well I have driven the truck a bit more with the new fuel saver light. I have noticed there is more to the reprogramming, at least I think so. I have noticed that the distance to empty is continuing to count down below 30 miles to go. Before programming when it got below 30 it merely said low fuel (I think). It is now at 18 to go and still counting. My '03 would go to 0 and I could still drive a while.

Another thing I have noticed, but have not tested a lot, is that the fuel saver light will not activate in tow/haul mode or when manually shifting any time. The manual shifting I only have tried a couple of times, but even then in 5th and coasting, no light. Same with the tow haul in manual mode and coasting, no light.

One other thing, but I am not totally sure about this one, is that the change oil message came on and it also displayed a message to Contact Dealer. I have changed the oil several times but never noticed the Contact Dealer message. It could have been there though. It freaked me so bad this time I took it into the dealer and explained it to him and told him the oil change was due and he was unsure. He came out looked at it and said it has to do with the oil change indication. Well I changed the oil, reset and all is well.

I wonder what else is in the reprogramming...

Fuel saver has always not worked with tow/haul engaged and or manual shift. It sounds like EVIC got a complete re do.

I also noticed those things. The DTE goes below 30 miles without saying low fuel and the EVIC says "contact dealer" on startup.
