What? That makes no sense?

Today I yelled at my ram, wont hold an idle now. Idles fine cold, when its warm it intermittently will drop the rpms down, start bucking and pinging, then rev right up. CEL is on, but is all for o2 sensor codes ive had awhile now and cant seem to clear them.

Unplug the front O2 sensor, and drive it that way for a bit, see if the idle issues clear up.

Check my TV cable for correct alignment, It was off a bit so I adjusted it. Fixed the 100-300rpm climb between some shifts.

I love the feeling of fixing the small things.

Hadnt thought to do that yet, will try that! Id be surprised if it was clogged though, brand new last january. But stranger things have happened I suppose.

Picked up a used unscratched Dodge Ram tailgate for the diesel from Salvage $160.
Wrong color, but going to switch it with the black farm truck. K.

That will just test the O2 sensor, to test the cat, you would have to physically remove the sensor from the exhaust.
