Somewhere between those two you'll find a truck that looks pretty good if you don't get too close.
Ah yes, the "Far From It" paint job..... Looks good when you are far from it, but, get up close, and.... it's far from it.

Simple and clean looking... I like it... good for another 10-15 years.
That looks awesome! Very OEM+ and clean. Good job

That looks great Spillage!! And I really like how you painted the LED tail lights like the factory for the sport model. Nice touch, a lot of people wouldn't have bothered.

Well, it is a SPORT, so I thought I'd stick with it... I did the bumper cap red also (like later year sport models).

Speaking of later years, I'm thinking I'll put 2002 badges on it, as I don't feel the 98 badges are very refined (a little cheap looking).

Awesome job, want to do mine next? I wish I had your skills. I'd repaint my Jeep if I could paint like that.

Training aid... it's an old CAC CA-27 Sabre (Australian made F-86)...
Strip, sand, mask, prime, paint... strip, sand, mask, prime, paint... strip, sand, mask, prime, paint...

I was Royal Australian Navy (Fleet Air Arm)... this was a surface finishes coarse I did at a Royal Australian Air Force base... it was an empty airframe use to practice painting... they also had 6 car bodies we used.
The color pic was my test piece... they flicked through a big book of aircraft paint schemes and said "here, paint it like this"... you had a top and side view picture (about 3½" wide each) to go by... this was an Argentinian aerobatics team colors... the southern cross (stars) and the rondel were added skill tests (had to freehand the kangaroo).
The B&W pic was the class photo... the adhoc paint scheme was navy blue with silver fish scales to acknowledge the Navy presence in the Air Force coarse.

Well that's just not fair, no wonder your skills are so good. I have a few rattle cans on patio furniture to my name.
