When you buy the aluminum plate from Hughes they give you everything. You can get the gasket kit from RockAuto

Default Plentum

I had my plentum replaced and still have the oil consumption. Is it possible the gaskets were misaligned while they put it back together ? Getting tired of pouring money in this truck to no avail. 2001 dodge ram 5.9 4x4. I used the hues kit.

im no mechanic but had the oil burning issue and did plenum to no avail . the next oil burning possibility im looking into is some rings got carboned up and are stuck . so they say remove plugs and pour like an ounce , dont quote me on amount , of marvs mystery oil into each cylinder and let it sit like 12 / 24 hours to get down into rings in effort to free them . then you pump out the oil fromeach cylinder .

Default Plenum/intake???

This is the first time I have used a forum, so if I break protocol or such please let me know. That being said I have a 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 5.9 Magnum. Runs terrible, carbon fouls plugs. Removed precat 02 sensor no change. Keeps throwing random injector open circuit faults. It actually runs better with all vacumn lines unhooked. I put a new PCM in and no change. Checked all the grounds, did the spray around the intake trick to see if it was leaking and no change. I'm lost and at a loss. I would appreciate any kind of help.
Thanks
Mick M

Default Lake of oil.

Well I have my new water pump, fan clutch, cloyes double roller set, timing cover gasket set coming.
I also ordered the Hughes felpro plenum Kit. I also got the stuff for a tuneup including 3923 plugs while I’m at it. Mileage is around 11.3 no load combined in town and highway. 10.6 with travel trailer mostly highway in direct drive OD off.
I have a lake of oil in my intake, it has certainly gotten much worse than it was. Currently 188k on it.
I will update here after repairs are done

Phone camera doesn’t catch it well but there is much more oil than it appears in the photo.

with all I’ve spent already including getting as many discounts as I can it’s not in the budget at the moment. $427 on parts.(bought a few more than what are mentioned above.) $325 on tires.
I have a feeling cat and O2 sensors are in the near future as well, and I KNOW a new heater core is in the near future.
