I have a 3" body lift running 35's, a DIY intake, a flowmaster exhaust, a "power wire," and the TMR delete mod. i normally run 87, but every 3-5 fill-ups i do 91 or 93. besides fixing my speedo with the bigger tires, what other performance upgrades will this give me and is it worth the $340? i was gonna use that money for 3" torsion keys and an add-a-leaf to gain a few more inches of lift, but if the tuner is worth it id do that first.

I don't want to burst your bubble but the '03s won't have the new trans options. However, you will see performance gains with the tuner which will give a great new feel to your ride. See my post a few pages back where I tested mileage 87 tune w/87 Octane versus 91 Perf. tune w/93 octane.

yeah it stinks i wont have the trans options, but i did the tmr delete about 2 years ago and it made a huge difference. and yeah ill look into your posts about the 87 vs 91 tune.

quick question, my brother has a 06 ram with the hemi and mds. hes looking into getting a programmer also but he doesnt know if the 3865 disables his mds. he said he might get the Diablo Predator cause itll give him the mds disable and more hp. does the 3865 have the mds disable option?

im pretty sure it does and he'll be able to take advantage of the trans options also...that might just sway his vote towards a s/c tuner....if im wrong about the 3865 with mds delete than the cortex will have it .... which the cortex also has the trans options when they come out...

Default Question on SuperChips Programmer

My friend insisted we installed the superchips programmer on my 2004 dodge ram 5.7

So we used his and he put all the settings on blah blah and i wanted to keep everything the same. how come in town when i drive 50 km it says like 18 mpg and when i drive highway it says 14.7? and i only drive 100 km? will this affect how much gas im getting to a tank? says im still getting 521 to a tank?

Gas aint cheap here in alberta im still hoping to get over 521 to a tank without being hard on my truck ?

Yes the 3865 and Cortex 3950 do have MDS disable. You didn't say which model Ram your brother has: Only the 1500 RC and QC have MDS, Megacabs and 2500, 3500s do not.

I'm not going to get into the fray of which tuner has more HP cause I don't know but, SC WILL wake up the beast within the Hemi. I will tell you though, if your brother plans on extensive mods to the engine; headers, cam,...then Diablo would be the better choice. If not, then SC with the trans options may be his best choice.

That is the best price I have seen for a new 3865 yet.
