She is trying to get the auto industry to make dense foam injection a production standard in trucks and SUV's.
Not much cost when the metal is unfinshed. Injected foam is cheap.
I suspect that above price is just the injection. I have not called. California is a bit far from Forida. Have to figure plugging holes and refinish then transport.

To protect yourself and your loved ones there is no price tag. I wil put this in an open forum after I gather a little more info.

Here is a read of its application and effectiveness. probably more..I just googled this up.

Chrysler and the dealship are ignoring my seat wear issue again.
Time to take action again.
I worked at the minivan plant in windsor some years ago and they were using the foam in the pillars. It was a very dangerous job, 20 minutes in the booth only at a time, not sure how long out. I imagine they have this in out trucks, since they are so quiet.

I really hope you guys with the perforated seats get your problems solved, personally I would ask Chrysler to replace your seats with the cheap ones until they solve the problem that way you won't have to look at them, I personally don't see a problem from the photos, I had leather before and well it was solid and had tons of wrinkles and stuff, in fact I could not wait for the wrinkles, especially in a 1990 Caprice Classic looked like flat ugly seats till the leather started to wear.
If you are getting just looseness that is leather but if it tears then that is a serious problem that should be taken care of. They should just drop the ventilated seats for now and replace the all and give a refund for the diff. Just replacing your seats monthly is ridiculous.
Since it is not safety I dont think you will ever get what you are looking for. Spend a grand of the 15000 you saved buying this truck and get some good leather on there, Go to a local upholstery shop. I priced getting leather on all 4 seats in the place of the cloth or YES was a grand for the center seating a back area. I am in Canada I am sure in th US especially Florida must have tons of places that do customizing. Here I think there are 2, in the city I live in anyway.
Good Luck gents, lets not put such a bad sticker on an otherwise great truck just because of a seat.
I have 7000 kms on my Sport, we were out the other day and well I was in the mood to drive you know what I mean like DRIVE so I gave the HEMI a workout, turning the key forward does shut down the ESP for sure, rubber for days on concrete with 355s. Other than that, so comfortable and quiet. I only wish I had looked harder and got the upgraded kicker stereo and amps, also wish i knew about the locking tailgate issue..since my truck was on the lot buillt prior to Dec 08 ,Over a year now and only in for RRTs and REcalls and Starscanning my self installed uconnect............fiasco.

The bottom line here is that the seat material was not "real world" tested. My driver's seat has a rip in a not-wear area due to the perforations. I've looked at the material they are using in the perforated area and it's not leather, it's some sort of cheap vinyl. There is also a foam layer glued to this material so I really don't know how air gets drawn through the seats.

If I could just get the seat repaired that would be one thing, but I've had my seat cover on order since July or August and I haven't gotten any notice and when I go to the dealer they say nothing has come in yet.

Customer service is where it's at, they can build a great vehicle, but if they (manufacturer or the dealer) treat you like ****, I'm very unlikely to return.

This is the reason I will not purchase another BMW, all the dealers around me are terrible and act like I'm wasting their time when they write me up at service time. I've called BMW, but they tell me that they have no control of how a dealership treats their customers. Screw that! I'm getting another Lexus next time and get treated with respect.

Fully agree that the seats are not leather. But they are sold as leather so does that mean we have a claim for false sticker statements and charging for leather when in reality it is cheap vinyl?

The "leather" with cloth center seats I have are not leather, they are vinyl. I don't care as long as they do the job really. They are comfortable and they have a little YES sticker so that is what is in the center the infamous YES. My son has a 08 Avenger that has an actual cloth seat marked with the YES tag. They a really nice seats and comfortable too. The best seats I got from Chrysler were in a leased Charger, leather and they were very nice and very good quality. The second best were in my 03 Durango R/T they got but marks but was typical leather reaction.

I'd like to know what part of the seats are leather? If it is a very minute portion can they still be called leather seats? Maybe they should be called leather trimmed seats?

I paid a premium for leather seats, now I want leather seats, not leather trimmed seats.

I feel like I've been taken advantage of.......I, I feel so ashamed.

I have those seats and have had no problem yet but I only have 6000 kms.I like the cooled seat part but I don't like the way the seats look i'd rather not have all the pin holes.

The problem with one person having a problem and another not is widely discussed here in this thread.
My seat covers last about 3000 miles before its worn out.
Chrysler has ceased to discuss options with me.
The dealer can not even get a new seat cover this time. The dealership ordered a new seat cover for my worn out again seat..a month ago.
The Service manager tells me he can not tell me when he will get a new seat cover for my truck.
Last time took a month for Chrysler to review and assure I got a good seat cover that time. 7051 miles and its worse than the other two I had replaced.
The trucks value is lowered due to this.
I do not see how the hell anyone can say they do not see a problem. with my seat cover. Dark grey is hard to photograph but...
2 seat covers in this truck already, 7000+ miles, less than a year old.
I have been put in 4 rental cars for over two weeks. I use my truck for my company. They have yet to give me a rental truck as I always request. No truck, no money being made.
